Virtual Screening of “Trafficked in America” & Filmmaker Q&A, on the Eve of U.N.’s World Day Against Trafficking in Persons

July 26, 2021

FRONTLINE and the Museum of Tolerance present:

A special virtual screening and Q&A of

TRAFFICKED IN AMERICA

Thursday, July 29: Screening at 7:00pm PT / 10:00pm ET, Talk Back at 8:00pm ET/ 11:00pm PT

On the eve of the United Nations’ World Day Against Trafficking in Persons, FRONTLINE and the Museum of Tolerance invite you to a special virtual screening of Trafficked in America and a conversation on the hidden world of labor trafficking in America.

Trafficked in America is an investigation into how teenagers from Central America were trafficked into the U.S., and promised jobs and a better life — only to be forced to work against their will. The investigation uncovers a criminal network that exploited undocumented minors, companies that profited from forced labor and the U.S. government’s role.

On July 29, join a conversation following the screening with special guests Daffodil Altan and Andrés Cediel, the Emmy Award-winning filmmakers behind Trafficked in America. Altan and Cediel will be joined by Sonia Parras Konrad, an attorney and advocate for immigrant survivors of labor trafficking who is featured in the film. The conversation will be moderated by Liebe Geft, the director of the Museum of Tolerance.

The virtual screening will be hosted on OVEE. You can learn more about OVEE and create a free account here.
