“Rape in the Fields” Live Chat en Español – Transcript

On Saturday night at 7 pm, in an unprecedented broadcast collaboration, Univision will air Violación de un Sueño, a Spanish-language version of Rape in the Fields, which aired this week on FRONTLINE.

The films explore how for the women who pick the food we eat, sexual assault is often a hidden price that often comes with the job. Many undocumented female farmworkers are afraid to speak out for fear of losing their jobs or being deported.

On Sunday, FRONTLINE, Univision and the Center for Investigative Reporting will jointly host a live chat, in Spanish, at 7 pm EST. Viewers will be able to ask questions of the reporting team behind the investigation, who will also be joined by guest questioner María Antonieta Collins, special correspondent for Univision.

Our panelists include producer/director/writer Andres Cediel and Center for Investigative Reporting reporter Bernice Yeung.
