Ambika Kandasamy is the assistant digital editor at FRONTLINE. She writes stories featuring FRONTLINE’s reporting and documentaries, assists with website management, crafts social media posts, proofreads Transparency Project interviews and supports other editorial tasks. In the past, she has also worked as the series’ audience engagement editor.
Previously, she was managing editor at Shareable, a nonprofit news organization, and news editor at GlobalPost, an international news outlet. Her journalistic work has focused on environment, health, economic development and other topics and encompassed both local and global stories. She has received reporting and conference fellowships from New America Media, Marine Biological Laboratory, Investigative Reporters & Editors, Gerontological Society of America and the National Association of Science Writers.
She holds an M.S. in journalism from Boston University.
