Former Tow Journalism Fellow, FRONTLINE/Columbia Journalism School Fellowship
Refael Kubersky was a 2024-2025 Tow Journalism fellow at FRONTLINE. He is an investigative journalist and graduate of Columbia University’s School of Journalism. In 2024, Refael released his first documentary, “Allies Left Behind,” which focuses on Afghan journalists, women’s rights activists and military personnel who are stuck in limbo as they wait for visa processing to come to the U.S. His film is available on Tubi and was featured on Voice of America’s Dari broadcast.
