In a career that includes twenty years at the BBC and a further ten as an independent producer, Sam’s documentaries have won EMMY, BAFTA, RFK, DUPONT, GRIERSON, Royal Television Society, and AMNESTY awards and been shown across the world by broadcasters including PBS Frontline, Al Jazeera, and ARTE.
In 2019 Sam directed ‘The Day Mountbatten Died’, for BBC Two – described as “excellent, a superb documentary” by The Times, and as a “masterpiece” by The Guardian.
